2019 August 28-31 - Our Trip to Silver Cliff and Westcliffe, Colorado
We take a 4-day R&R trip to the small Colorado towns of Silver Cliff and Westcliffe, each with a population of about 500 and both designated as International Dark Sky Community. We also have a night star party at the Smokey Jack Observatory in Bluff Park at the West end of Westcliffe.

We caravan with 8 other Tesla cars to drive through Badlands National Park, visit the famous Wall Drug Store in Wall, South Dakota, gather for a Tesla cars and owners group photo at Crazy Horse Memorial, and have a farewell dinner.

to see the 2018 Old Colorado City Customs and Classics Car Show. There were 450 beautiful and interesting cars on display
along the closed off Colorado Ave., the main street. The weather was just gorgeous and comfortable.

In October 2016, we fly to Central New York to attend the wedding of a friend's daughter on October 9th in Geneva, New York. We take the opportunity to stay in Rome, NY to visit with Cathy's family and drive to Old Sturbridge Village, Massachusetts to rendezvous and visit with a friend, who lives in Maine.

2016 July 29-31 - Crestone, 2016 Under the Stars UFO Conference, San Luis and Fort Garland (Published: 2023-03-16)
We drive to Crestone, Colorado in the middle of the mysterious San Luis Valley to stay in the Sangre de Cristo Inn for a couple of nights in order to attend the 2016 Under the Stars UFO Conference at the UFO Watchtower in Hooper, CO. The featured speaker was Travis Walton who had a well-witnessed 5-day UFO abduction experience in Arizona in 1975. We also visit San Luis, CO, the oldest town in Colorado, and then Fort Garland, CO where Kit Carson was once commander.
