Pentatonix - "When You Wish Upon A Star"

About the Star of Palmer Lake

The Star of Palmer Lake, also known as the Star on Sundance, because it is on Sundance Mountain Trail, was built during the Depression to cheer up the citizens of the town of Palmer Lake, Colorado (between Colorado Springs and Denver) and was first lit for the Christmas of 1935. This year it celebrates its 85th anniversary. At 500 feet wide, the Star, with 92 LED bulbs, is the largest illuminated star in the world. This local wonder was built by Coloradans wishing to share hope and goodwill during the Christmas Season.

Our good friend, Nancy Jurka, who lives in the town of Palmer Lake, along with illustrator, Kay LaBella, has written a wonderful and beautiful book "Bright Star of Palmer Lake". For more about the star and the book, check out the official Facebook Page.
