Introduction

On Sept. 9, 2024, Joe and I left on a second trip to Creede, Colorado with three objectives in mind:

1. The most important thing to do was a tour of the Last Chance Mine located in the mountains outside of Creede. It was quite the highlight of our trip. The Tour Guide was very knowledgeable about the Mine and its History.
2. On our way we would have to drive through the San Luis Valley. Since we were driving by, we decided to check out the Rustic Rook Glamping Resort where we got a tour of the facilities. They have Glamping Tents, RV Camper Cabins and two-story Grain Bin Villas.
3. Another important goal was to check out the construction progress of the Kosmos Stargazing Resort & Spa. Our son, Joe, and his wife, Amanda, for our 55th Wedding Anniversary on Jully 12, 2024, reserved a 3 nights stay for us in September 2025, when some Stargazing Villas are hopefully completed and ready for occupancy.

We stayed in an AirBnB in Creede. We knew it was a cabin and very surprised to find how quaint and comfortable it would be. The owner had moved an old mining cabin that was on his family's property in Creede. The cabin was our bedroom and the rest of the unit was built around it. It was just so perfect.

We would stop again at the Kosmos Stargazing Resort & Spa construction site to see if, in the three days since we were there, some progress was made, and to our delight, it was.
