We decided to once again go to Breckenridge, CO to see the yearly International Snow Sculpture Competition and bring Holt for his first time. It was a gorgeous sunny day and although there were alot of people, it was not as crowded as we thought it would be. We also decided to take the Trolley from Main St. to go see the statue of the Troll named Isak Heartstone, which was built by the Danish artist, Thomas Dambo, using reclaimed wood. Mr. Dambo travels the world building these magnificent sculptures and Colorado is home to two of them.

On the trolley ride the driver told us an interesting story. While the troll was being made, two girls approached the sculptor and told him that if the troll did not have a heart, he would be a mean troll. They then handed him a heart shaped stone which he incorporated into the sculpture, and hence the name Isak Heartstone.

It was a wonderful day and we decided to have an Italian dinner before returning home. Joe decided to check his wallet when he realized it was GONE! He retraced the various places we went to, including the Visitor Center and the trolley. Unfortunately, all in vein. He called the police station and filed a report. It was not the way we wanted to end such a great day. The next morning, we got a call from the Policeman who took Joe's info telling us the wallet was turned into the station! He told us he would send it via FED EX and sure enough we got it in two days. EVERYTHING was there. All his charge cards, all his cash, license, etc. Yes, there are honest people out there.
