Introduction

While Amanda and Joe A. were celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary in Hawaii, we had Holt and decided to start off with a 4-night (Sept. 15-19) stay at the "vacation house" in Buena Vista. On the first day/evening (Wednesday, Sept. 15th), we stayed at the house, relaxed and Holt got to "excavate" a dinosaur (see video #1), we had "butterfly" pasta for dinner on the patio with views of Buena Vista and the mountains, and we all watched the SpaceX Inspiration 4 Mission launch live on the TV (see videos #2 and #3).

On the second day (Thursday, Sept. 16th), we took Holt to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and Spa (see videos #4-6), a short drive away. The next day (Friday, Sept. 17th) we drove about 45 minutes North to Leadville to take the Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad scenic 2 1/2 hour scenic train ride (see the brochure page 1 and page 2 and see videos #7-9). The ride was terrific and Holt enjoyed every minute of it. The Colorado Aspen fall colors were spectacular, shimmering bright yellow, orange and red.

On the third day (Saturday, Sept. 18th), we relaxed at the house and drove home on Sunday, Sept 19th.
