We needed another restful 3-day get-a-way. So, we decided to travel just a 2-hour drive from our house in Colorado Springs to the small ranching community of Hillside, Colorado, which is just 15 miles North of Westcliffe (a town we have visited in the past). We rented a small AirBnB Creekside Bungalow which was situated behind the main house (also a rental, that was vacant the entire time we were there). They were on a gravel road, 1 1/2 miles off the main Rte. 69, on a 67-acre Aspen Grove Ranch with views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the West and the Wet Mountains to the East.

Since our main goal was R&R (Rest and Recovery), we did not do much sightseeing, just some drives around the area to view the beginnings of the fall colors and down to Westcliffe to pick up some supplies and drive up to the mountainside West of town.
