Introduction

On May 17, 2019, Joe R. rode with Joe A. driving his Tesla Model S 75D from Colorado Springs, Colorado up to Custer, South Dakota to attend the 2019 6th Annual Tesla Sound of Silence Road Trip Rally, a convention of Tesla car owners from all over the country. This year over 60 Tesla cars, their owners and passengers attended.

On Friday, May 17th, we had a meet up dinner at a local brewery restaurant, The Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company, where we got to meet and chat and swap stories with other Tesla owners. On Saturday, most of us took a road trip to drive through the Badlands National Park, where we saw buffalo and PHENOMINAL scenery, visit Wall, South Dakota to check out the brand new, under construction, Tesla Super Charger station in town and visit Wall Drug Store, a long-famous tourist attraction that Cathy and Joe R. visited in the 1970's which started as a small drug store in 1931 and has expanded to become a GINORMOUS roadside attraction. We then rendezvoused at a parking area at the Crazy Horse Memorial for a group cars and owners photo shoot and later back to Custer for dinner at a local Pizza Restaurant.

It was all exciting and terrific fun. Plus we got to see some spectacular scenery and enjoy the ride.
