In August, of 2005, Jimmy and Flo invited us to join them for a week at their Timeshare in Garden City, Utah. A very quaint town famous for its raspberries, homemade raspberry ice cream, and the beautiful unique Bear lake. The lake is often called the Caribbean of the Rockies for its intense turquoise blue water. This unique color is due to the reflection of the limestone deposits suspended in the lake.

From this magical lake we would travel through scenic Logan Canyon to Logan, Utah where we would visit the American West Heritage Center and visit Utah State University. Here we would get to sample the Famous Aggie ice cream, a product of the Agricultural College of Utah State University. A trip into Idaho was a must where we would visit the Oregon/California Trail Center in Montpelier, Idaho. A town that was made famous in Outlaw lore with its bank being robbed by Butch Cassidy and his gang, "The Wild Bunch".

The week in Utah flew by and the four of us then left Garden City to drive to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Here, we would take the famous Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad trip. The train leaves Durango to travel through breathtaking valleys and mountains to the once silver mining town of Silverton, CO. Here a beautiful and very quaint town awaited us. We were all very exhausted at the end of a very full 9 hour day but all agreed that it was a trip we would definitely do again.

We hope that through viewing these photos, you too will experience the beauty and history of three states: Utah, Idaho and Colorado.
